In the pursuit of perfect homebrew, failure still makes beer.

Exciting new offering from Harpoon

A nutmeg, sweet, cinnamon and sugar smell like pumpkin bread out of the oven… Not too bitter but enough to complement the sweetness… A decent body… This is pretty good! Woohoo Boston area beers!

In your expert opinion, how does it compare to Harvest Moon and Pumpkinhead?

    • I will say this: I’d drink Pumpkinhead over Pumpkin UFO this year. Pumpkinhead has a much more “throughout” pumpkin flavor, while Pumpkin UFO is more about smelling like delicious pumpkin pie. I haven’t tasted this year’s Harvest Moon, and I’m sure it’ll be decent, but I don’t know how it will compare.

My preferences are as thus; I encourage you to thoroughly compare all three, if not some more of the following: Cisco’s Pumpkin Dumpkin, Southern Tier’s Imperial Pumpking, and Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin.
